How do I become a member?

At Nutrisystem, we offer three levels of access to the Member site:

    •   Guest
    •   Registered
    •   VIP

Guest: Guests can browse freely through the Nutrisystem Community, and enjoy access to the Daily Dose, the Dining Out Guide, as well as an assortment of articles and blogs. Guests can also read posts on the Discussion Boards, but cannot actively participate in threads.

To obtain Guest membership status, simply visit All site visitors are automatically granted Guest membership.

Registered: In addition to enjoying access to the same features that Nutrisystem Guests enjoy, Registered Members can post on Discussion Boards and blogs, add friends to their networks, and participate in the Buddy Bucks referral program.

VIP: VIP Members can utilize the full suite of online tools and trackers, including the meal planner weight and measurement trackers, personal journal and more.

To become a VIP Member, all you have to do is purchase a Nutrisystem program. Your purchase will automatically grant you VIP access to the Member site for up to 60 days after your last program order.

Subscribing to Success A La Carte will qualify you for VIP access while your membership is active. A La Carte purchases without subscription, however, will not qualify you for VIP access.

*Effective as of November 28, 2012. Members who have purchased a program or placed A La Carte orders prior to this date will maintain VIP for one year after his/her last purchase.

How do I log in to Nutrisystem Members?

To access your account on the member site, type Nutrisystem customers ("VIP Members") will see a log-in screen where they can type in their email address and password. Registered Members will see the Nutrisystem home page, where they can click on "Member Log In" in the upper left corner of the screen and enter their email address and password to log in.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you've forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Password?" link on the Member Log-In screen, enter the required security information and the password you would like to use. Your password will be reset so you can access your account immediately. For your security, we will also send you an email confirming that you requested to reset your password.

How do I change my email address?

To change your email address, simply log in with the email address you registered with, then click My Account in the top left corner of the screen. You may be required to enter your log in information a second time. Then click on Update General Information to make changes to your account.

How do I change my address?

To change your address, first log in to the member site. In the black bar at the very top of the screen, click "My Account," then click "Update General Information." There you can edit any of your personal information as well as your user name and password. To save your changes, click "Submit."

How do I modify my email preferences?

To update your email preferences, you'll first need to log in to Nutrisystem Members. Located in the black bar at the very top of the screen, click on "My Account," then click "Update Account Preferences." Here, you can subscribe or unsubscribe to the Nutrisystem® Newsletter, special offers and contests, Community updates and The Mindset Makeover® behavior manual.

Can I get an additional Nutrisystem® Meal Planner or Results Kit?

How do I change my starting weight and weight loss goal?

Nutrisystem VIP customers have access to the full suite of tools and trackers offered on the member site. To change your starting and goal weights, first log in to the member site. From the Member Home Page there are two ways you can edit your weight:

  • Click on "My Program" and on the right side of the page click on "Change my starting weight." This will display a page where you can update your starting and goal weights.
  • In the black bar at the very top of the screen click on "My Account," then click "Update Your Starting Weight & Starting Date." The same page will display where you can update your starting and goal weights.
Where do I go to log my meals and track my weight loss numbers online?

Only Nutrisystem customers or VIP members have access to all of the online tools and trackers available on the member site. After you've logged in, click "My Program" then click the "Log Food" icon to track your meals, or the "Log Weight" icon to record your weekly weigh-ins. While you're there, you can also log your measurements, your water intake and your My Daily 3 exercise activities. There's also an online journal where you can write about your weight loss journey.

What are Nutribears?

Think of Nutribears as your weight loss ambassadors! The Nutribears program is a fun and motivational incentive program that rewards you for the weight you've lost on Nutrisystem. It's a great way to add even more motivation to your weight loss journey, and help you continue your success until your goal is reached. If you're a current customer and have lost or are losing weight on the Nutrisystem® program, you're eligible to receive Nutribears. For each weight loss milestone you reach throughout your weight loss journey, you will receive an adorable Nutribear as a reward for your weight loss achievements. And when you've reached your goal weight, you'll get your very own Goal Bear. Just use our website to log and track your weight loss—it's that simple!

To get started, log in to the Nutrisystem Members site, click "My Program," then click "Log My Weight." Type your weight in the box below "Weight," then click the "Add" button. To learn more about Nutribears, click "My Program" then click "Nutribears" to meet the bears!

How do I change my phone number?

Log in to the member site. In the black bar at the very top of the screen, click on "My Account." Then click the "Update General Information" link; edit any information you want to change, and click "Submit."

How do I change my username?

Log in to the member site. In the black bar at the very top of the screen, click on "My Account." Then click the "Update General Information" link; edit any information you want to change, and click "Submit."

How are junior member, member, and senior member statuses determined within the discussion boards?

A member with 1 to 29 posts is considered a junior member, a member with 30 to 99 posts is considered a member, and a member with more than 100 posts is considered a senior member.

Can I ignore, or block, certain users within the discussion boards?

Yes, within the boards, you have the option to block the content posted by certain users. To add a user to the ignore list, within the discussion boards, click User Preferences from the menu that runs across the top. Then click Ignore List located on the left side and you will be able to enter the users you would like to ignore.

Where do I find the Terms of Use for the Community?

VIP and Registered Members can read the Terms of Use for the Community, which are posted in our Discussion Boards and in the Moderator's Blog.

To access the Terms of Use for the Community, click "Connect & Share" after you log in to the member site. From there you can click on "Discussion Boards" or "Blogs" to find the Terms of Use:

Do members who ordered their program through QVC have VIP access to the Nutrisystem Members site?

Yes, QVC customers do have full VIP access, but their accounts won't be automatically activated when they place an order. If you are a QVC customer and would like complete VIP access to our website, please call 1-800-585-5483 to speak to one of our customer representatives who can set up your account.

How do I know if I have VIP member status?

All you need to do to become a VIP member is purchase a Nutrisystem program-that's it! Your purchase will automatically grant you VIP access to the Nutrisystem Members site for up to 60 days after your last program order.

If you're still not sure about your status, you can find out by logging in at, then checking the top left hand corner of the site. If you do not see any Access Status listed, that means you are a VIP member and have access to all community features PLUS our full suite of online tools and trackers, including the meal planner, weight and measurement trackers, personal journal and more.

How do I know what my status is?

Guest: Guests will see “Access Status: Guest” at the top, left-hand corner of the Members homepage.

Registered: Registered Members will see “Access Status: Registered Member” at the top, left-hand corner of the Members homepage.

VIP: If you have purchased a Nutrisystem program, and you are able to access the Tools & Trackers tab on the My Program homepage of the Members site, your access status is VIP.

What do I do if there's a problem with my Nutribear?

Nutribears are an ongoing reminder of the goals you've achieved during your weight loss program, so we understand why a missing, incorrect or damaged Nutribear would be a cause for concern. If you haven't received your Nutribear, if you received an incorrect Nutribear or if your Nutribear was damaged during shipping, please contact a Nutrisystem Representative at 1-800-585-5483 for assistance.

Please note that the My Program page updates in real time whenever you reach a weight loss milestone based on the information you enter when you log your weight online. However, Nutribears are shipped with your next order, which means you may need to wait until you receive your next order.


I have not lost weight the last two weeks. What can I do to break the plateau?

Weight loss can sometimes be unpredictable and subject to stalls or plateaus now and then. The first thing to try is to record your intake diligently in your Daily Tracker for the next week. Sometimes after getting comfortable on the program, we rely less on our meal tracker and unknowingly slip extra calories in here and there. Often taking a step back to focus on recording your food intake and following the structure closely is all the recharge you need to get you back into losing. Plus, if you find your weight has still not budged after a week of recording, you will at least have a good record of your intake to share with your counselor so that they can help you most effectively. Additionally, increasing the intensity and/or duration of your physical activity plan can help charge up your weight loss progress. Our counselors are available each and every day to talk you through tips and strategies specific to your physical activity, meal plan and weight loss needs to help maximize your success.

Is counseling available with the Nutrisystem® Transition and Maintenance programs?

Yes! In fact, we consider it to be a vital part of all Nutrisystem Transition and Maintenance programs, and encourage you to talk to a counselor soon after you join any of our programs. Please call 1-888-849-4686.

Is it normal to experience gas or bloating when I start the program?

Sometimes people experience gastrointestinal discomfort when changing their eating habits. The most common cause of gas or bloating in our program is due to the high amount of fiber present in our products and in the fruits and vegetables you add in to complement your program. Our program delivers the recommended fiber intake consistent with the American Heart Association, which is often much greater than our consumers are used to eating each day. You body typically adjusts and these symptoms subside within the first couple of weeks on the program. To limit initial gas and bloating in our program, we recommend drinking water with meals and consuming a minimum of eight glasses of water per day. If you need additional tips or you feel you've been experiencing these symptoms for a prolonged period, please contact a counselor who will help adjust your meal plan and provide further tips to help minimize discomfort associated with gas and bloating.
