Throughout my life I've been a competitive athlete. Because of sports, I learned about healthy eating to fuel the body. In college I played on the varsity lacrosse team. Our daily workouts were so intense it allowed me to eat pretty much whatever I chose. Instead of sticking to a balanced, nutritional diet, I picked whatever I was in the mood for at the time. And then I graduated from school.
I continued eating as I had before and kept up the workout routine but not to the same degree. Two herniated discs in my lower back ruled out running and jumping.
