I had always been the picture of health and discipline to the people around me. I participated in fitness/figure pageants, was a fitness officer in the Air Force, and became a personal training coach, all before the age of 25. But being on an extremely strict diet for three years sent me on a dangerous downward spiral of binge eating, and I found myself losing control. When I eventually got up to my highest weight, I was at my breaking point. I hated how I looked, and most of all, I hated how I felt. I couldn't stand how sluggish I had become. I stopped exercising, going out, doing the things I loved. I stopped being a young person in her twenties. When I saw an ad for Nutrisystem one night as I was gorging on pizza and ice cream, I thought, "What are you doing?" I immediately went online and ordered my first month. Now, I'm 30 lbs.* slimmer, and a size 2/4*! I feel great and it's wonderful to have my body reflect that.

My favorite thing about the program is the variety. I never felt restricted or deprived, and I enjoyed the flexibility and freedom the plan provided. I loved the fact that I could eat Nutrisystem pizza every night if I wanted to on the plan, plus I could have dessert, too! And if I wanted to mix things up, there were plenty of meals to choose from. I also really benefited from the community section of the website. It was like having tons of fans following you as you run a marathon, continuously cheering you on, picking you up when you fall and encouraging you to keep going.

It feels great to finally be in charge of my life. I feel so balanced and healthy; I don't even feel like I'm dieting! I finally understand that portion control and moderation is key-thanks to Nutrisystem. I've also learned to listen to my body for when I'm comfortably full as opposed to stuffed. Nutrisystem gave me the ability to see past my next meal and really start to see what's important in my life. I now make choices based on my long-term happiness instead of short-term gratification. And I don't waste time living in fear of losing the body I have. I know that I'm the one who gets to say whether or not I keep the weight off, because I'm in control.
